Portland Web Design & Development
We design and build websites for Portland businesses — fast, static sites that load in a blink, rank in search, and turn visitors into customers.
We scale the team to fit the job: a full docket of designers, developers, copywriters, and SEO professionals, or a single savvy web builder with the right chops for your project. Either way you get senior talent.

We Build on Astro
Astro is our default for new websites. It ships static HTML instead of a pile of JavaScript, so pages load fast on a phone, hosting costs almost nothing, and there is no CMS sitting there waiting to be patched. Search engines and AI answer engines get clean, crawlable markup on day one.
A static site still needs somewhere for the moving parts to live. That is where Diviner One comes in — our own marketing platform handles the blog, contact forms that land in a CRM, email capture, and reviews, so you can publish and follow up without a developer and without stitching together four separate tools.
Astro is not the answer to every brief. If your project genuinely needs WordPress, Shopify, or something custom, we will tell you and build it properly — we are not reselling a platform.

Why Diviner?
Brand focused. Search and AI optimized. Conversion focused.
Brand execution that resonates with your audience is the most important aspect of any website. But brand execution needs intuitive UI/UX and technical and architectural excellence so your website is properly indexed and optimized for getting found online. These three pillars are our main focus when designing a successful website project.
“I love the design of the new site — it’s community-forward, just like my business. And the CRM integration is perfect. It makes my life so much easier.”
— Adam Shumaker, Founder, No Easy Feet
A Portland Web Design Partner
Diviner is based in Portland, and so are most of the businesses we build for. No Easy Feet trains clients in SE Portland. Pure Energy Wellness runs studios in Woodstock, Sellwood, and NE Portland. Ingrid’s Cleaning Services covers the metro. We know the market these businesses are competing in because we are in it too.
Being local also means the website is not the end of the conversation. Most clients carry on with us on SEO, local SEO, or generative engine optimization, because a site that nobody finds is just an expensive brochure.
eCommerce Ready
With over a decade of eCommerce experience we can help you make the right choices to serve your customers online.
Let Us Be Your Guides
You have a lot of options when it comes to building a website. At Diviner, we believe websites are business tools and the strategy and thought that goes into the web design process should enhance all aspects of the way your organization functions. This means paying attention to every detail — from integrations and plugins, to SEO strategy, accessibility, branding, positioning, and more. This approach ensures your website will support your business holistically for many years to come.
Get in touchFrequently asked questions
What platforms and tech stacks do you build on?
Astro is our default for new websites — static output means fast pages, cheap hosting, and no CMS to keep patched, with Diviner One handling the blog, forms, CRM, and reviews behind it. We also build on WordPress, Shopify, Webflow, and custom stacks when a project genuinely calls for one. The goal is to recommend the right tool for the job, not to lock you into something we resell.
How long does a typical website project take?
Most projects run between two and five months from kickoff to launch. Timeline depends on scope, content readiness, the number of pages and integrations, and how quickly your team can review and approve work. We always give a realistic schedule before we start.
How much does a website cost?
It depends on scope and complexity. Rather than guess, try our ScopeClarity tool to walk through your project and generate a real RFP you can send to us or other agencies. We scope every engagement individually so the budget reflects what you actually need.
Do you build SEO and AI search optimization into the site from the start?
Yes. Diviner is a brand-focused, search and AI-optimized, conversion-focused web shop. Information architecture, schema markup, performance, and content strategy are baked into the design and development process so the site is ready to rank and be cited by AI engines on day one.
What happens after the site launches?
We offer a post-launch support retainer to handle updates, bug fixes, performance monitoring, and ongoing optimization. Many clients also continue with us on SEO, GEO, or fractional marketing work because the site is the foundation for those programs.
