Pure Energy Wellness is Allison Pelot’s personal training and coaching practice in Portland, Oregon. She is an ATG Level 3 coach and CHEK practitioner with a degree in exercise science and more than twenty years of experience, working with people on strength, joint health, and coming back from injury. The business had grown well past what its Squarespace site could hold — in-person training across three locations, an online coaching community, a podcast, and a book.
Challenge
- A Squarespace site that had outgrown the platform and the business it represented
- Training, online coaching, a book, and a podcast all competing for the same attention
- Three Portland training locations with no clear way to find the right one
- Contact enquiries arriving as email, with no record of what happened next
- A newsletter list and a growing back catalogue of content living apart from the site
- Google reviews that never made it onto the website
Website Redesign & Development
We rebuilt the site from scratch on Astro. Leaving Squarespace meant leaving behind a monthly platform fee and a template that dictated how the pages could work; static output means the site loads fast on a phone, costs almost nothing to host, and has no CMS to keep patched.
The bigger job was structural. Allison does several distinct things — private and semi-private training in Woodstock, Sellwood, and NE Portland; the Thrive Strong online coaching community; speaking; a book; a podcast — and the old site made a visitor work out which one applied to them. The rebuild gives each its own clear path, so someone looking for injury recovery in Sellwood and someone looking for a $47-a-month online program both land somewhere that answers them.
Diviner One as a Light Backend
A static site is fast, but the business still needs somewhere for content, leads, and follow-up to live. As with No Easy Feet, we wired the site into Diviner One, our own marketing platform, rather than bolting on separate tools for each job.
The blog publishes through Diviner One, so Allison writes and ships without a developer or a deploy. The contact form posts into the Diviner One CRM tagged as a website contact, so an enquiry becomes a record with a follow-up trail instead of an email that scrolls out of view. The footer newsletter signup feeds the Diviner One email list, which is where the podcast and video updates go out from.
Putting the Reviews to Work
Allison’s clients write generous reviews — about hiking pain-free after surgery, about training through a hip replacement — and none of that was on the website. The Diviner One reviews widget now pulls them onto the homepage and keeps them current, with a Submit a Review path so the next happy client can add to them.

Pure Energy goes into launch with a site that matches the size of the business rather than the limits of a template. Training, coaching, the podcast, and the book each have their own room. Allison publishes on her own. Enquiries land in a CRM instead of an inbox, newsletter signups feed a list she can actually use, and the reviews her clients already write finally do some work on the website.
