Google Business Profile
Correct primary category, a service area that matches where you really work, and a cleanup of duplicate or suspended listings.

Vancouver, WA
Search strategy for Vancouver and Clark County businesses, including the ones that serve both sides of the river.
Vancouver is just across the river from Portland, but for search it is a different place. Different state, different county, different directories, and a different set of competitors.
A lot of agencies treat Vancouver as a Portland suburb. Then they push a Vancouver business into Oregon directories and Portland keywords. The listing ends up in the wrong place for both sets of searchers.
We handle Washington as Washington. Then, if you serve Portland too, we add Oregon on purpose.
Many Vancouver businesses have customers in Portland. A contractor works in Camas on Monday and in NE Portland on Tuesday. A clinic sees patients who drive over the I-5 bridge.
Your Google Business Profile can only sit in one place. The map pack mostly shows you to people near that place. So the Portland side has to come from your website, with its own pages and its own reasons to rank.
That usually means one strong Vancouver presence and one or two Portland service pages. We decide the order based on where your best customers come from, not where most people live.

Consistent details across your listings, reviews that describe what you do, and pages that answer the question directly. That is what gets you named in AI answers.

Not for rankings. Google ranks your business based on where it is, its reviews, and its website. My location does not enter into it. I am about 20 minutes away and happy to come over when meeting in person helps.
In the map pack, rarely. In the regular results, yes, with good Portland service pages. That is the honest split, and it decides where we put the effort.
My rate is $130 an hour. Most local SEO programs from a professional shop in this metro run $1,000 to $3,000 a month. Serving both states usually lands in the middle or upper part of that range.
Profile fixes can show up in a few weeks. Durable gains usually take three to six months. If the top three is unrealistic for your category, I will tell you before we start.
Send me your site and where your customers come from. I will tell you which side of the river to work on first.
