The Sou’wester Lodge

The Sou'wester Lodge homepage with vintage travel trailer resort branding

The Sou’wester Lodge is a historic lodge and vintage travel-trailer resort in Seaview, Washington, on the Long Beach Peninsula. Part hotel, part arts venue, the property rents lodge rooms, cabins, and a fleet of restored mid-century trailers — each one different. The website needed to be as distinctive as the place itself, and it needed to make a sprawling set of stay options easy to browse and book.

Challenge

  • An aging website that did not reflect the character of the property
  • Dozens of distinct units — lodge rooms, cabins, and vintage travel trailers — with no easy way to browse them
  • A booking flow that buried availability and made it hard to compare options
  • Limited organic visibility for a destination people search by name and by category
  • Too few online reviews relative to the quality of the guest experience

Website Redesign & Development

We rebuilt the Sou’wester site from the ground up. The redesign leans into the lodge’s vintage, arts-forward personality while putting the practical job of the site — planning a stay — front and center, starting with a check-availability widget on the homepage.

The centerpiece is a browsable index of every place to stay. Each lodge room, cabin, and restored travel trailer has its own page with photos, details, and a direct path to book, so a guest can weigh a one-of-a-kind trailer against a lodge suite without hunting through a calendar. What used to be a confusing set of options is now something you can actually shop.

SEO Strategy

Alongside the rebuild, we cleaned up the technical foundation and structured the site around how people search for a getaway like this — by the property name, and by category terms like vintage trailer rentals and Long Beach Peninsula lodging. The result was an 85% lift in overall traffic and 11% growth in organic search. That organic gain is meaningful at a time when AI overviews are pulling clicks out of search across the board.

Reputation Growth with Diviner One

Reviews were the third lever. Using Diviner One — our own marketing platform — we set up review requests that reach guests at the right moment after their stay. Reviews grew 160%, which both reassures the next guest weighing a booking and strengthens the local search signal that brings new ones in.

Website & Booking UX

  • Full redesign and rebuild that matches the lodge’s vintage, arts-forward personality
