Directory One Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 21, 2026
Directory One is a directory platform built and operated by Diviner LLC (“Diviner,” “we,” “our,” or “us”), a marketing consultancy based in Portland, Oregon. The platform powers individual directory websites (each, a “Directory”) for verticals such as artists, agencies, pilates studios, and local businesses. This Privacy Policy explains what information Directory One receives when you use the Sign in with Google option on a Directory built with Directory One, and how that information is used.
The marketing page for Directory One lives at diviner.agency/directory-one/. For information about how the diviner.agency marketing site itself handles visitor information, see the Diviner Agency Privacy Policy.
Information we receive from Google
When you choose “Sign in with Google” on a Directory powered by Directory One, Google asks for your permission to share a limited set of information with the Directory. The scopes we request are:
- Your basic profile — your name and your Google profile picture URL.
- Your email address — the email address associated with your Google account.
We do not request access to Gmail, Google Drive, Calendar, Contacts, Google Business Profile, or any other Google service. We do not receive your Google password.
How we use this information
The information Google shares is used only to operate your account on the specific Directory you signed in to. Specifically:
- To create and authenticate your account on that Directory.
- To display your name (and, where applicable, your profile picture) on listings you submit, claim, or review.
- To send you transactional notifications about your listings, claims, deletion requests, or account activity on that Directory.
- To allow the Directory’s administrators to communicate with you about your submissions or account.
We do not use your Google profile information for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to operating your account on the Directory you signed in to. We do not sell your personal information.
Where this information is stored
Each Directory built on Directory One runs on its own infrastructure with its own database. When you sign in to a Directory with Google, your name, email address, and profile picture URL are stored in that Directory’s database — not in a shared Directory One database, and not on diviner.agency. Information is not shared across Directories. Signing in to one Directory does not create an account on any other Directory.
Who controls your data
The operator of the Directory you sign in to is the data controller for your account on that Directory. Diviner acts as a data processor that provides the underlying platform. If a Directory is operated by a third party, that operator’s own privacy policy also applies to your use of their Directory.
Third-party services
Directory One relies on a small number of infrastructure providers to operate. Each operates under its own privacy policy.
- Supabase — provides the Postgres database and authentication service that stores your account information for each Directory.
- Vercel — hosts the Directory’s web application and may log standard technical request information such as IP address and user agent.
- Cloudflare — provides DNS, CDN, and security services for some Directories; logs may include your IP address.
- Resend (or a comparable transactional email provider) — sends transactional emails such as account verification and notifications.
Data retention
Your account information is retained for as long as your account exists on a given Directory, plus a reasonable period afterward to meet legal, accounting, and security obligations. You can request deletion of your account at any time (see “Your rights” below).
Your rights
You can revoke Directory One’s access to your Google account at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Revoking access prevents future sign-ins but does not, on its own, delete information already stored in a Directory’s database.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights regarding your personal information — including the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict its use, and to opt out of certain processing. Residents of California (CCPA/CPRA), the European Economic Area, and the United Kingdom (GDPR) may have additional rights, such as data portability and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
To exercise any of these rights, contact the operator of the specific Directory where you have an account, or reach Diviner at chris@diviner.agency and we will route your request appropriately.
Limited Use disclosure
Directory One’s use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Children’s privacy
Directories powered by Directory One are intended for general audiences and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll change the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be highlighted on this page.
